The winter series is back. Will it be your year to get on the Wall of Fame? 

This year each comp will have a different format, so to be in with a chance of a high position overall, you have to be a well rounded climber and have your tactics right. All our competitions end with a showpiece final which is a great opportunity to cheer on the best local climbers as they fight it out head-to-head.

10/11/13 Nutrition Lecture with Rebecca Dent

Rebecca Dent is a climber and nutritionist who ahas worked with some of the UKs top athletes and climbers including the GB Climbing Team. She will be hosting a Nutrition Lecture in TCA in November. We will be putting up more details in the coming weeks.

Mountaineering Council of Scotland FUNdamentals of Climbing 1 & 2

These 1 day workshops are aimed at people coaching others to climb and form part of the new Climbing Coach Award training pathway. Further information and applications are avilable through the MCofS. The sessions at TCA are:

29/11/13 FUNDAS 2 with Jon Jone and Stuart Lyall

4/12/13 Neil Gresham Masterclass and Lecture

Sherpa Adventure Gear have teamed up with Neil Gresham to put on some Masterclasses and Lectures thoughout the UK. TCA Glasgow will be hosting a Masterclass and Lecture from Neil Gresham on Wednesday 4th December where all ticket proceeds will go to the Sherpa Education Fund.

- 2 x Masterclass sessions early evening (6.00pm - 7.00pm & 7.15pm - 8.15pm)
- Lecture 8.30pm – 9.30pm
- La Sportiva boot demo from 6pm
- Cost for masterclass £12.00 (including lecture)
- Cost for lecture £5.00


11-12/01/14 Outdoor First Aid Course

We have teamed up with Outdoor First Aid Limited to provide the following first aid courses.

This two day Outdoor First Aid course takes your first aid skills beyond the basics to deal with head and spinal injury, broken bones, helmet removal and multiple casualty incidents. Covers requirements of NGB Awards (ML Summer/Winter, MIA, MIC, WGLA, BELA, CWA, SPA, Trail Cycle Leader, Forest School Leader). Fully accredited first aid training.

Adult Improvers Coaching

For those of you that have been through our Induction Course and/or are new to climbing/bouldering then TCA Glasgow offers a great way to keep developing your bouldering skills and gain confidence in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at no extra cost beyond the standard entry fee on one of our Adult Improvers Coaching Sessions 

Ladies Night

Running every other Tuesday night from September to the end of April, we offer a chance for the women of TCA Glasgow to climb together, share beta and meet new partners. Female staff members are on hand to help work on boulder problems and push your grades to new levels. Meet us by the slab wall Tuesday night around 6:30 and get some psyche!  Every four weeks, Ladies Night will be more coaching-oriented, with a focus on learning the techniques of bouldering and specifically aimed at those new to the sport. No extra charge above entry, and there are often homemade cakes to keep you climbing strong.
